Hello, Blogger. Just wanted to post a note I published in Facebook.
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 (I put 27. Whatever!) people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
1. I am a huge fan of CNET's The 404. I think Justin Yu, Wilson Tang and Jeff Bakalar are hilarious and they help me get through the work day. I started listening since ep. 140, but have listened to all 270+ eps. Highly recommended.
2. I twitter. A lot. Follow me at @wbandoy. It's like a huge chatroom that anyone can read. Twitter > Blogger. Send me an @ reply if you join twitter!3. My favorite number is 78. The numbers symbolize the year I was born in as well as my initials: 78 = JB. They are also numerical order which show a sign of progression.
4. My favorite sports teams are the San Diego Chargers and the Los Angeles Lakers. I will cheer them on no matter how good/bad they are.5. I HATE Boston. Primarily the Patriots and Celtics, but after the Patriots disrespected us on our home field, I lost all respect for them. So I've thrown the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston College and Boston Market into the mix as well. But if you like Boston sports, you're okay. You just have bad taste. :p
6. Really wants a powerful, small Macbook Pro but can't afford it nor do I have time to use it at the moment.7. One of these days, I would like to getting back to creating videos on my spare time. Check out bandoy.com for some of my previous work.
8. I would really like to get into photography with a DSLR but is currently happy with my point-and-shoot that fits perfectly fine my pocket.9. My favorite shows are: LOST, Battlestar Galactica, Dexter, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Chuck, Heroes, Firefly. If you like any of those shows, let's chat! Ha!
10. 7/17/10 is going to be awesome date. ^_^11. The first anime I ever watched was Ranma 1/2. Thanks to Chris Narvaez for introducing it to me. <3 Shampoo! Current faves: Bleach and Naruto Shipuuden
12. I love the X-Men... and I fell in love the characters when I saw the 1989 cartoon pilot, Pryde of the X-Men. (Not to be confused with X-Men from Fox... although that was a cool cartoon as well)13. The first comic book I ever got was What If... The Marvel Superheroes Had Lost Atlantis Attacks Vol. 2 #25 (May 1991).
14. Zhang Ziyi > Grace Park (of BSG) > Kelly Hu > Anne Hathaway > Jessica Alba > Summer Glau > Kate Hudson > Natalie Portman > Keira Knightley15. Does not like to sing especially when people are around. Will sing a chorus or two when taking a shower or driving in the Sentra SE-R.
16. I donate blood at least three times a year. My blood type is O+ and nearly 40% of the population is O+ so I feel like I'm saving several lives every year. However, I get extremely weak and nauseous the next couple days after I donate. I've almost donated two gallons of blood!17. I cannot stand Lakers small forward Luke Walton and Padres reliever Joe Thatcher. Those guys jeopardize losing the game for their organization on a daily basis.
18. I love my Nissan Sentra SE-R even though I have no clue about cars, engines, blah, blah, blah, blinker fluid, blah, blah, blah, etc.19. I love mint chocolate chip ice cream!
20. My favorite fruit is the navel orange. (Btw, I don't think I've tried a valencia or a blood orange yet) If you've ever seen me during break eating one or two, you'd know how happy they make me.
21. I love to imitate quotes from movies, tv shows, comedy stand-ups although I'm not very good. If I can get a chuckle or a smile outta you, it makes my day.22. When I go to Starbucks, I normally order a grande soy chai tea latte or a grande tuxedo (half mocha, half white chocolate mocha). Yum!
23. My favorite alcoholic beverage is anything with Bailey's.24. Cannot wait to make it through a Bikram Yoga class without stepping out of the room. Currently can only last 60 out of the whole 90 min class.
25. Would like to get out of debt as soon as possible. Sentra SE-R, school loan, time share, etc. ;)Hello, Posterous. Just wanted to post a note I published in Facebook.

Recently, I was perusing throught the TRS forums and I came across a fellow TRSer who was asking for advice on what to bring to Comic-Con '09. Here's what I had to say: (Note: this will be more updated as I will add more things as I go along and remember certain things)
I've been going to the Con for about 10-11 years or so and here's what I suggest:
* Backpack, preferably one with lots of pockets (inventory +5)
* Water or beverage of choice (I believe alcohol is prohibited)
- Energy drinks are popular and helpful
* Comfy, walking shoes (your dogs'll be barking at EotD)
* Camera (slim, pocket sized ones are recommended for easy access)
* Portable video game device (you'll be waiting in a lot of lines)
- If video games aren't your thing, try books, origami, knitting utensils
* Cell phone charger
- Just in case you forget to charge your phone or are a twitter freak like me, there are outlets in the rest areas by the artist alleys
* Things you want signed at the Con from celebs and ceWEBrities.
* Nose plug (there are some people with bad B.O., freals!)
Things you should grab at the Con:
* Free big bag
- Warner Bros aka WB bag (cool art, biggest bag, inventory +10)
- Sci-fi bag (my personal favorite, sturdy, doesn't drag on floor)
- NBC bag (just like Sci-fi, but doesn't have the word Frakkin')
- Viz Video bag (check booth for more info, wonderful tote!)
* Free t-shirts / accessories (armor +1, money +10, giveaway garb FTW)
- Street Fighter head band wins my fave accessory award
* Unique freebies (rare drops to whoo/envy your friends)
- USB thumbies dropped: Iron Man, Project Abraham, Eagle Eye, etc.
- Masks dropped: Storm Trooper of Star Wars: FU and Strangers movie
Other misc facts:
* Paramount booth gives out cool stuff on an hourly/random basis, but crowds are malicious and greedy. Some guy in front of me just kept on grabbing Iron Man USBs over and over again. Talk about no Comic Con etiquette! On a side note, only the dedicated/lucky get shirts.
* Crowds for Hall H start lining up Friday night just to get in Saturday morning. Elite security say they strictly enforce cutters, but when a group cut in front of us, they didn't do anything but come over, talked a bit and left.
Overall, the San Diego Comic-Con is a great experience, but I feel as if I only go for the panels (Yes, I went to the TRS panel of course - http://poprl.com/3YF) now as I get to rest and not deal with the large crowds down on the floor. (But I doubt I'd go if they moved it to Las Vegas!) It feels great to geek out on anime, Star Wars, movies, tv shows, panels, oh and something the Con has kinda forgotten, comic books!
